Meet Ashley

Ashley Bryant Bailey is a proud Cincinnatian, a graduate of Walnut Hills High School, and studied at the University of Cincinnati. From P&G to the Obama campaign and now a State Representative, Ashley has spent her career at the intersection of politics, storytelling, and community. Building movements that empower people and drive meaningful change.

She currently leads strategic campaigns that bring people into the political process, shape public policy, and ensure communities like ours aren’t just heard, but respected and resourced. Whether helping protect voting rights, advocate for working families, or expand access to healthcare, Ashley’s work has always been driven by one goal: creating a government that works for all of us.

On October 1st, Ashley was appointed to the Ohio House after being unanimously selected by the Democratic caucus to serve District 26, and she didn’t waste a minute. She’s already been doing the work in Columbus and back home: calling out voter suppression in Senate Bill 293, opposing efforts to re-criminalize marijuana through Senate Bill 56, and showing up across the district to listen, serve, and fight for the people who make Cincinnati what it is.

Time to Lead Differently

Ashley is running to keep her seat as State Representative because she believes District 26 deserves leadership that listens deeply, works collaboratively, and delivers results. Politics doesn’t have to be performative or polarizing. It can be practical, people-centered, and focused on what really matters to working families. Ashley has spent her career building campaigns and coalitions that put community voices first, from front porches in Cincinnati to national movements for voting rights, healthcare, and economic justice. She knows that good policy starts with the people who live it every day and she’s ready to bring that wisdom into the halls of the Statehouse. Ashley’s vision is rooted in a simple truth: progress doesn’t come from the top down, it comes from the ground up. She’s ready to fight for District 26, not just to preserve what’s working, but to build a future that works better for all of us.
